Fotor: a photo service (create collages, designs, edits, etc.)

I’m a new user.^ But I ❤ it, so far. I need it to make a collage for school….but I made this yesterday.

post And this.qllogo.jpg

I’m loving it.

Makin’ a snazzy design:

You need: Cute fonts. Cute stickers. A cute background.

And Google drawings. Or Fotor. Or some other thing.

  1. Find your pic. It can be something that your words show up on.
  2. Put it on your canvas.
  3. Find a font that has a nice style, and that is bold enough to be seen.
  4. Find a quote or a statement. It can be “Hi” or “Something Wise”
  5.  Type it! Add stickers. Be creative.

Busy week, obviously, I mean it’s

but somehow here I am posting. 😛

🙂  I was looking back at all the posted pics I took and this looks….amazing.

Cotton Candy Ice cream. Yes. It is Throwback Thursday 😀

Did you ever see anyone so cute :P?? #WendyGirl She loves making that chippy face. 😀

Have a great day. Do something good.

Starting out Good: VPT

Starting out Good: VPT

Welcome to the first out of five posts for the new photography series

More about me and my photography:

Let’s start by checking out some photos that are pretty vintage style looking.

These pictures are all by me

Click and Snap, Q&L’s Photography page (

Which ones are the most vintage looking?? I need your feedback–comment on the pictures with the tag #Vintage and #VPT so I know. Thanks!!

OK. So, starting out well.

The first thing you need to take a picture is obviously some sort of camera.

Phone, tablet, computer even, oatmeal box, Polaroid, or just a camera. 🙂

Now…. find a subject. Anything. Your best friend, your mom, your brother, your dog (if you are just starting out use something easy.)

It could even be a sign.

Hey, these turned out pretty good. ^^

So, start clicking away on that camera and choose your best photo. Share by commenting.

What are your best pictures? What can you do better? Look back on the photo page and see what techniques I used.

With this lesson in mind, start exploring the world of photography!

At the Zoo- Full Post

Welcome to this post brought to you by:

Visit Stay lovely.

It’s been a while, and I basically stuck pictures on the last post I did. Sorry about that!

I mentioned that we visited the zoo, a wonderful experience. Read on to hear the zoo stories and to view the zoo pictures. This is literally my third time attempting to finish this post. Let’s hope I do.

Ahh, the zoo. A great place to be, to see animals, to see the landscapes, and to enjoy yourself.

First, let’s go through this beautiful gateway/archway, especially lit for Christmas. Well, you’re seeing this after Christmas, so I guess a New Year’s archway. 😊

Let’s walk along the pathway—look at this lantern! Very cool.

This waterfall was in the elephant’s “area”,the elephants weren’t something to photograph, they were facing opposite us….so all we would see is their rear. 🐘 🐘

Ok. This is like the CUTEST orangutan EVER. All it would do was make these sad, sad eyes at us. Hilarious, and really adorable. 🐵🐵

Sorry if some pictures are a bit blurry, animals are pretty hard to photograph.😳
Anyway, look at these amazingly pretty flamingos!! 😮💞

Again, this is a small bit blurry. Also because this tiger WOULD NOT STOP moving!!

Some cool lights….

We got to be 10 feet away from lions!! (there was glass at the end of the rock, though). It was amazing. The second picture was a statue. But the whole effect was cool.

The zoo just finished building their African Safari exhibit and it was truly amazing.

The animals had lots of room to run around.

We also got to feed giraffes, which was really fun. I will find those pictures for you soon….

The giraffes were very cute, and had quite the personality. I have more pictures that I have to upload and there is a whole other giraffe story about that….anyway.

Oh, here’s a picture of some of the Safari exhibit.

Pretty cool.

And the Jambo hut, I love the whole style.

Well, there is some of the zoo! I have a lot more pictures I have to upload, but that will take a while.

Thanks for being patient.

Have a great Tuesday!!

Quaker’s Vanishing Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

I found this recipe on the back of the Quaker Old Fashioned Oats box and found and printed the recipe online:

I did a little adjusting time wise to fit our oven’s needs: I baked them for 14 minutes (!) instead of 8-10 minutes

Made 58 1 TBSP cookies for me!
I just did a quick copy and paste from the website so full credit to

Quaker Oats

    • 1/2 Cup(s) (1 stick) plus 6 tablespoons butter, softened
    • 3/4 Cup(s) firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 Cup(s) granulated sugar
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 Teaspoon(s) vanilla
    • 1-1/2 Cup(s) all-purpose flour
    • 1 Teaspoon(s) Baking Soda
    • 1 Teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
    • 1/2 Teaspoon(s) salt (optional)
    • 3 Cup(s) Quaker® Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    • 1 Cup(s) raisins

Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medium speed of electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Add oats and raisins; mix well. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.

  • These cookies turned out SOOOO good. Oh my goodness good. No joke. Thank you Quaker!

Smoothie Pops

How to make these yummy, healthy frozen treats:

A smoothie to fit inside how many pops you want

Paper Dixie cups

Lollipop sticks, popsicle sticks, or cake pop sticks

A freezer!

First, prepare your smoothie: I just made mine this morning for my family as well as the pops.

I use what I have-this time we didn’t have ripe enough bananas so I used avocado-you can’t taste it.

Strawberries (I use frozen)

Apple Juice

Milk (I use almond milk)

Spinach (you can’t taste it, and adds more health to your drink!)

Blend well, adjust amounts to serving size.

Pour smoothie to about 3/4 full in Dixie cups, and stick your lollipop stick, popsicle stick, or cake pop stick in the middle!
Stick in freezer until frozen!

When done, to remove cup, run under hot water and peel paper cup off! Enjoy! These are awesome.
